Annual Strategic Planning Retreat Fiscal Year 2023-2024

From December 15th to 17th, 2023, the U.S. Ambassador's Youth Council held its Annual Strategic Planning Retreat for the FY 2023-2024 at Koh Sdach, Koh Kong Province. The event welcomed representatives from the U.S. Embassy in Phnom Penh and AYC alumni.

On the first day, active engagement was observed as members explored the Integrated Country Strategy Framework (ICS), emphasizing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA). The focus was to inject the core values of the AYC and the readiness for the upcoming AYC recruitment. On the second day, Cohort 11 members enthusiastically delivered the Project Pitching for implementation in the FY 2024-2025. To strengthen the AYC spirit and bring the members closer emotionally and physically, team-bonding activities and a bonfire night were conducted as part of the retreat's objectives.

As part of our commitment, we also engaged with the locals in Koh Sdach Village. The unique history, demography, geography, and critical issues were presented to better understand the community and explore opportunities for further engagement.
